I recently had ACL reconstruction surgery with Dr Kitchen and had a great experience. From the first consultation, he explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable and confident, especially as it was my first surgery. His professionalism and calm approach really stood out. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing orthopaedic surgery.
Dr Kitchen was very direct and clear-minded about the diagnosis and the proposed surgical path. He clearly articulated the clinical and diagnostic facts, my options in light of them, and his recommendations. He gave me ample opportunity to ask questions and provide input. On surgery day his pre-operation briefing was also clear and direct. His post-surgery report was prompt and informative. My surgery has been a great success and I'm well on the way to regaining full use of my knee.
Dr Kitchen is a great example of how professionalism and a kind reassuring manner can put a patient at ease when about to have complex painful knee replacement surgery Surgery and recovery has been made easier by Dr Kitchen explaining (in lay man terms) what to expect from the operation and what needs to be done post surgery for the best recovery If surgery can be a pleasant experience then this was it Dr Kitchen is a pleasant (amusing) informative and caring professional who has made this a good experience
A friendly manner, explained procedure clearly and follow up was done. Willingly answered any questions. Operation very successful. No painkillers after the first 4 days. Walking without pain after 3 days, on the exercise bike after a week. A job well done. Thanks
An excellent result. Dr Kitchen was very professional and explained the situation with patience and thoroughness. I will certainly return to his care should it be necessary.
I can't speak highly enough of Dr Kitchen. He is professional, punctual, patient and not only answered my many questions but took the time to discuss current and future concerns with me. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and we built a great rapport from the very first appointment. I have great confidence in Dr Kitchen and his abilities. So much so that I returned to Dr Kitchen recently for my second knee replacement with him. Highly recommended.
Dr David Kitchen is the most empathetic, informative and reassuring surgeon I have had. He answered questions and concerns honestly and made me feel relaxed when consulting with him. He always displayed a happy disposition which made all the difference when facing complex surgery and recovery. Very highly recommended.
David is a highly skilled hip and knee surgeon who pairs surgical excellence with genuine compassion for his patients. His meticulous approach to joint replacement and commitment to delivering personalised, evidence-based care make him a trusted colleague and a surgeon I would recommend with complete confidence.
