Dr John O'Neill

Dr John O'Neill is a highly qualified Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon and Otolaryngologist who provides comprehensive care for both adult and paediatric patients in Sunnybank. He is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of medical and surgical care, addressing a wide range of disorders affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, Dr O'Neill focuses on tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring they feel fully informed and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

Dr O'Neill graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1994. He subsequently undertook advanced surgical training, specialising in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2004. To further refine his expertise, he travelled to Oxford, England, to complete a prestigious post-graduate Fellowship in Rhinology, studying under a leading British Rhinologist. He also gained valuable international experience working as a Consultant Rhinologist in Milton Keynes, England, before returning to Australia to establish his private practice.

As an active member of the medical community, Dr O'Neill maintains strong professional connections and currently serves as the Queensland State Representative for the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. His clinical interests span all aspects of general paediatric and adult ENT surgery, with a particular sub-specialty focus on rhinology and nasal airway disorders. He is highly skilled in performing advanced procedures such as functional endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, turbinoplasty, and both functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, alongside routine paediatric interventions like adenotonsillectomy and grommet insertion.
