Dr Jo Douglass

Dr Jo Douglass is a highly distinguished Specialist Physician, Respiratory Physician, and Immunologist. With a career dedicated to clinical excellence, research, and patient care, she provides comprehensive management for individuals experiencing complex respiratory and allergic conditions. Dr Douglass is particularly renowned for her clinical focus on asthma, severe asthma, and allergic diseases, offering a reassuring and evidence-based approach to help patients manage their health and improve their quality of life.

Dr Douglass completed her undergraduate medical training at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1984. She subsequently undertook extensive postgraduate training in respiratory medicine and allergic disease in Southampton and London, before obtaining a Doctor of Medicine by research from Monash University in 2000. Dr Douglass is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand. Her outstanding contributions to medical research, clinical immunology, and respiratory medicine were formally recognised when she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia.
