Dr Janet Lee

Dr Janet Lee is a highly experienced and comprehensive Ophthalmologist who provides dedicated eye care to patients of all ages, including children. Based in Burwood, she is committed to delivering the highest standard of clinical excellence, offering a reassuring and calm approach to patient care. Dr Lee has a broad range of expertise in managing complex eye conditions, with a particular focus on advanced surgical interventions and long-term disease management. Dr Lee completed her medical degree with Honours at the University of Sydney. She then undertook her postgraduate specialist training in Ophthalmology at a leading eye hospital in Sydney. To further expand her expertise, she completed advanced studies in cataract and genetic eye diseases at a world-renowned hospital in Baltimore, USA. Dr Lee is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). She maintains active membership in several national and international ophthalmic associations, regularly attending scientific meetings in Europe and the United States to stay at the forefront of technological and clinical advancements.

In her clinical practice, Dr Lee specialises in a wide array of ophthalmic treatments and procedures. Her areas of expertise include both conventional and laser-assisted cataract surgery, as well as the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). She is also highly skilled in sutureless pterygium removal, neuro-ophthalmology, external eye diseases, and medical retinal conditions. Additionally, Dr Lee holds accreditation with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), allowing her to perform specialised ophthalmic safety assessments and certifications for aviation personnel.
