Dr James Wilson is a highly accomplished Pain Specialist and Anaesthetist who has dedicated his career to helping patients manage acute, chronic, and complex pain conditions. With a clinical approach centred on comprehensive patient assessments, he utilises evidence-based interventional techniques to alleviate discomfort and restore quality of life. Dr Wilson has a particular interest in musculoskeletal pain, chronic pain, and cancer pain management, providing compassionate care to individuals facing challenging health journeys.

Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Wilson studied biochemistry, specialising in molecular neurobiology. He then completed his medical training at a prestigious medical school in the United Kingdom, where he was awarded a silver medal for his academic excellence. Dr Wilson undertook advanced training in pain medicine, achieving the highest mark in his specialist pain examinations. He holds several distinguished professional qualifications, including Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA), Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FFPMRCA), Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FFPMANZCA), and Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).

Throughout his career, Dr Wilson has gained extensive experience working as a Consultant in both the public and private sectors in the United Kingdom and Australia. He has worked within multi-disciplinary pain centres, hospices, and oncology centres, developing a deep expertise in managing complex cancer pain that does not respond to standard treatments. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Wilson is deeply passionate about medical education. He has been actively involved in training future Specialists in pain medicine, anaesthetics, and palliative care, and he serves as a Senior Lecturer at a leading university.

In his daily practice, Dr Wilson performs detailed clinical evaluations to tailor treatment plans to each patient's unique needs. He is highly skilled in performing a wide range of advanced interventional procedures under precise X-ray, CT, and ultrasound guidance. These targeted treatments include nerve blocks, epidurals, facet joint injections, and radiofrequency ablations.
