As a dual-trained General Practitioner and GP Anaesthetist, Dr Paul Mackenzie possesses a broad clinical skillset. His areas of expertise include emergency medicine, paediatric care, and procedural anaesthetics. He is particularly passionate about delivering essential medical services to rural communities, ensuring that patients have access to safe and effective anaesthesia and acute care close to home. Dr Paul Mackenzie has an exceptionally diverse academic background, holding a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics and a Diploma of Education alongside his medical qualifications. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) and went on to complete extensive postgraduate training. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds a Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP). Additionally, Dr Paul Mackenzie has earned a Diploma of Child Health (DCH), a Certificate of Emergency Medicine (CertEM) from the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, and is credentialled as a GP Anaesthetist through the Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia (JCCA).
