Dr Ian Young

Dr Ian Young is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. After obtaining their degree in dentistry at the University of Queensland, they worked as a dentist. Dr Young's interest in Rugby League led them to the south of France. They also played Rugby Union for the London Irish club. Dr Young then continued their dental career in England. Dr Young entered a masters program in Oral Surgery at the Eastman Dental Hospital (London). On completing their postgraduate degree and obtaining a fellowship, they completed further training at The Queen Victoria Hospital. Dr Young returned to Australia and worked as the Senior Registrar. They then completed a Medical Degree at the University of Adelaide. Dr Young then moved to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. They have also travelled to the Philippines and China to provide cleft lip and palate surgery.
