About Dr Trevor Baret
Dr Trevor Baret is an experienced dental practitioner with a distinguished career spanning several decades, recognised for his expertise in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, snoring and sleep apnoea, early jaw development, and upper airway health. He is the owner of Blue Mountain and also practises as an associate at InForm Dental Penrith.
Dr Baret graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1976. His commitment to continued professional development led him to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Orthodontics in 2018 and a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dental Sleep Medicine in 2020, both at the City of London Dental School in the UK.
In 1981, he became a foundation member of the Australian Society for Occlusal Studies. Recognising the need for a more integrated approach to managing TMD and occlusal disorders, he co-founded the Australasian Association of Orofacial Orthopaedics in 1985. This organisation is dedicated to educating dentists on optimising facial development, airway function, and musculoskeletal balance.
Outside dentistry, he has long-standing ties to Bronte Beach and has been an active member of the Bronte Surf Lifesaving Club.
