Dr Ian Lloyd McCombe

Dr Ian Lloyd McCombe is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a background rooted in remote Western Australia, where he grew up on a family farm, he brings a compassionate, practical, and down-to-earth approach to family medicine. Dr McCombe is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare that addresses the diverse needs of his patients, ensuring they feel supported and reassured at every stage of their health journey.

Throughout his career, Dr McCombe has developed a broad range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on obstetrics and paediatrics. His holistic approach to family medicine allows him to manage acute and chronic conditions effectively, supporting patients from infancy through to adulthood. In addition to his clinical work, he has a strong interest in medical education and has actively contributed to training the next generation of General Practitioners, particularly supporting the development of a sustainable rural healthcare workforce.

Dr McCombe completed his undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Science, before pursuing his medical training. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) through the postgraduate medical programme at Flinders University. To further his expertise in primary care, he completed his specialist training and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
