Dr Godfrey Sibanda

Dr Godfrey Sibanda is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a career spanning several decades across both rural and metropolitan settings, Dr Sibanda has established himself as a reassuring and trusted medical professional. He is committed to delivering holistic healthcare to individuals and families, ensuring that every patient receives personalised attention tailored to their unique medical needs. His outstanding contribution to primary care has been recognised by his peers, earning him the prestigious title of South Australian GP of the Year from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

Throughout his diverse career, Dr Sibanda has developed a wide range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on skin cancer medicine. He possesses advanced knowledge in diagnosing and treating skin cancers using both medical and surgical techniques. In addition to skin health, Dr Sibanda is highly skilled in family medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, and gynaecology. His versatile background also includes extensive experience in emergency medicine, and he remains accredited to support emergency departments, demonstrating his capability in managing acute and critical health situations.

Dr Sibanda obtained his primary medical degree, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB), in Zimbabwe, where he gained invaluable clinical experience during his early career. Committed to continuous professional development, he went on to earn a Master of Medicine (MMed) and a Diploma in Child Health (DCH). He also completed a Master's Degree in skin cancer medicine from an Australian university. Dr Sibanda is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
