Dr Georgina Lyons

Dr Georgina Lyons is a highly experienced and dedicated Dermatologist who provides comprehensive care for a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. With a patient-centred approach, she is committed to delivering the highest standard of medical, surgical, cosmetic, and paediatric dermatological care. Dr Lyons focuses on creating tailored management plans that address each patient's unique needs, ensuring they feel supported and reassured throughout their treatment journey.

Her clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of dermatology, with a particular interest in skin cancer detection and management, including comprehensive skin checks, dermoscopy, and skin cancer surgery. Dr Lyons is also highly skilled in treating chronic inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis, utilising advanced therapies including biologics and UVB phototherapy. Additionally, she specialises in paediatric dermatology, helping young patients and their families navigate childhood skin conditions, and provides specialised treatments such as botulinum toxin injections for axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating) and care for tropical dermatoses.

Dr Lyons achieved outstanding academic success before pursuing her medical career, which began with her medical training at the University of Melbourne and the University of Oxford, graduating with Honours. She also holds a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours from the University of Oxford and a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine with Honours from James Cook University. She completed her specialist dermatology training in Melbourne and Singapore, graduating at the top of Australia in her Fellowship examinations. For this exceptional achievement, she was awarded the prestigious Australasian College of Dermatologists Fellowship Prize. Dr Lyons is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
