Dr Dominic Moon

Dr Moon is a General Surgeon. Dr Moon completed their undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Sydney in 1990. They undertook surgical training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown, Sydney obtaining their fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1999, in general surgery. Dr Moon was appointed Breast Surgical fellow at the NSW Breast Cancer Institute at Westmead Hospital application of new technologies including image-guided breast biopsy and sentinel node surgery.

They undertook sub-speciality training in the management of breast cancer, and a role in the application of new technologies including image-guided breast biopsy and sentinel node surgery. Dr Moon was appointed staff specialist at Westmead Hospital in Breast and Surgical Oncology and Visiting Medical Officer at Breast Screen and Auburn Hospitals. They have had a long involvement in the management of breast disease, particularly breast cancer and works in a Multidisciplinary Setting at Westmead Hospital.

Their practice has extended to include their private rooms and surgery at Westmead Private Hospital. Currently, they are developing skills in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery and symmetrisation procedures. They also have extensive experience in thyroid surgery, laparoscopic gallbladder and laparoscopic hernia surgery. Dr Moon is a highly professional breast surgeon.
