Dr Dirck Ananos

Dr Dirck Ananos is a highly qualified Specialist Plastic Surgeon who provides comprehensive care in plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on delivering personalised treatment plans that prioritise safety, natural-looking results, and patient well-being. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of procedures, from intricate hand and wrist surgeries to aesthetic breast, body, and facial contouring.

Dr Ananos completed his initial medical training in 2002, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Cayetano Heredia University in Peru. He subsequently relocated to the United Kingdom, where he completed surgical rotations in London and Belfast, before undertaking further elective rotations across Brazil, Spain, and France. In 2016, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Following his specialist training, Dr Ananos completed advanced post-fellowship training in hand and wrist surgery, gaining valuable international experience through fellowships in New Zealand, Spain, and Argentina. He is an active member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Australian Hand Surgery Society.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Ananos is deeply committed to medical education and research. He has published numerous contributions to hand and wrist surgery, including book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles. He is actively involved in training the next generation of Specialist Plastic Surgeons and Junior Doctors through regular teaching activities, anatomy sessions, and workshops.
