Dr Chih-Hung Kuo

Dr Chih-Hung Kuo is a highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. He specialises in advanced microsurgical techniques, with a particular focus on cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and oculoplastic procedures. Reassuring and professional, Dr Kuo is committed to preserving and restoring his patients' vision, tailoring each treatment plan to meet the unique clinical needs of the individual.

Dr Kuo completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, alongside a Bachelor of Science (Medicine). He furthered his academic pursuits with a Master of Medicine. Following his general medical training, he undertook specialist training in Ophthalmology, which was complemented by two years of intensive sub-specialist fellowship training in complex glaucoma and oculoplastics both in Australia and the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Kuo is actively involved in medical education and research. He serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, helping to train and mentor the next generation of Ophthalmologists. He is also an Examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists Advanced Clinical Examination. Dr Kuo has contributed significantly to ophthalmic literature, with research published in prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals, and he serves as a Regional Representative on the Glaucoma Australia Ophthalmology Committee.
