Clinical Professor Chan Cheah

Clinical Professor Chan Cheah is an internationally recognised Consultant Haematologist and Specialist Physician who is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centred care. Specialising in the management of blood cancers and various haematological disorders, Clinical Professor Cheah is highly regarded for his clinical expertise and his commitment to advancing medical knowledge. He focuses on delivering evidence-based, up-to-date treatments, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.

With a particular sub-specialty focus on lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, Clinical Professor Cheah is a leading figure in clinical research. He actively leads numerous international clinical trials, aiming to provide patients with access to cutting-edge therapies and novel drug treatments that may not be widely available. His research interests include exploring innovative, non-chemotherapy treatment combinations and immunotherapeutic approaches to improve outcomes for individuals living with blood cancers.

Clinical Professor Cheah obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Western Australia in 2003. Following his initial medical training, he completed comprehensive post-graduate training in clinical and laboratory haematology. He further advanced his expertise by undertaking prestigious specialist fellowships at renowned cancer centres in Melbourne, Victoria, and Houston, Texas. Clinical Professor Cheah holds professional fellowships as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, and he has also been awarded a Doctor of Medical Science.
