Ms Calypso Strauss

Ms Calypso Strauss is a dedicated Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) who provides compassionate and evidence-based psychological care to a diverse range of clients. Adopting a warm, flexible, and collaborative approach, Ms Strauss is committed to helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys in a supportive and empowering environment. She works closely with her clients to understand their unique challenges, tailoring her therapeutic interventions to meet their specific needs and goals.

In her clinical practice, Ms Strauss supports clients experiencing a wide array of psychological difficulties, including depression, anxiety, stress, and low self-confidence. She also assists individuals facing communication, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Ms Strauss has a particular interest in working with younger individuals, including infants, children, and teenagers, alongside their families. Additionally, she holds a special interest in supporting women experiencing postnatal concerns, such as postnatal depression and anxiety, helping them feel supported during significant life transitions.

Ms Strauss completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and went on to obtain her Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Melbourne. To support her clients, she utilises a variety of evidence-based psychological modalities. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Meta-Cognitive Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Through these structured yet adaptable frameworks, she equips her clients with practical strategies to foster resilience and long-term well-being.
