I would prefer not to encounter other clients during my visits — being scheduled back-to-back and having to wait because of overlapping sessions makes me feel uneasy. I often feel overlooked and disrespected when she seems focused on managing time and rushing through the schedule — it makes me feel uneasy and even triggers some of my past trauma. There are also times when I sense that my session follows directly after another client, and her presence doesn’t feel fully grounded. It’s as if some emotional residue from the previous session carries over, or she appears somewhat fatigued and not fully attuned to our conversation. There are times during our sessions when I find it difficult to follow the main point of what she’s expressing — the way she speaks can sometimes feel a bit scattered or hard for me to anchor to. Additionally, although her occasional switching between Chinese and English doesn’t usually affect my basic understanding, it does tend to suddenly activate my defenses. It pulls me out of the emotional flow and back into a more rational, guarded state, which makes it harder for me to stay connected in the moment. I think I would benefit from a bit more clarity and steadiness in verbal delivery, especially when we’re in emotionally sensitive parts of the session.
