Dr Caitlin Cheshire

Dr Caitlin Cheshire is a highly qualified Cardiologist and Heart Failure and Cardiac Imaging Specialist. With a patient-centred approach, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive and reassuring care to individuals navigating complex cardiovascular conditions. Her clinical practice encompasses the management of all types of cardiomyopathy, supporting patients through every stage of their treatment journey, including those requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support.

Dr Cheshire completed her medical degree with Honours at Monash University. She then undertook extensive postgraduate training, completing her Physician Training and Cardiology Advanced Training at major metropolitan teaching hospitals. To further refine her expertise, she completed a prestigious fellowship as an Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation Fellow at a world-renowned cardiothoracic hospital in the United Kingdom, followed by a specialised fellowship as an Echocardiography Fellow at a leading Australian tertiary referral centre.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Cheshire is actively involved in cardiovascular research. She is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on the factors that influence short-term and long-term outcomes following heart transplantation. Her dedication to advancing the field of cardiology is reflected in her professional memberships; she is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ).
