Dr Boris Zbaras

Dr Boris Zbaras is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who brings a wealth of diverse clinical experience to his patient care. He is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred medical care, focusing on long-term health outcomes and preventative medicine. With a background that spans multiple areas of healthcare, Dr Zbaras adopts a holistic approach to General Practice, ensuring that each patient receives personalised and compassionate treatment tailored to their unique needs.

Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Zbaras initially trained and worked as a Physiotherapist, obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy. He then completed his medical degree, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Following his medical graduation, he undertook extensive internship, residency, and speciality physician training in internal medicine across major metropolitan and regional hospitals in New South Wales. He further expanded his clinical expertise with advanced sub-speciality training in nuclear medicine before dedicating himself to general practice. Dr Zbaras completed his postgraduate General Practice training in Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Throughout his career, Dr Zbaras has developed a broad range of clinical interests. He is particularly passionate about chronic and complex disease management, helping patients navigate long-term health conditions with structured care plans. His background as a Physiotherapist gives him a unique perspective on musculoskeletal medicine and physical rehabilitation. Additionally, he is highly experienced in child health and immunisation, travel medicine, and preventative healthcare, including the administration of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).
