Dr Bhavani Jayabalan

Dr Bhavani Jayabalan is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to her patients. With a patient-centred approach, she focuses on delivering personalised medical care that addresses both immediate health concerns and long-term wellness. Dr Jayabalan believes in fostering strong, trusting relationships with individuals and families, acting as a supportive adviser and healer throughout their healthcare journeys.

Dr Jayabalan completed her medical degree (MBBS) at the National University of Singapore, graduating in 2006. She subsequently undertook specialist training in Family Medicine, earning a Master of Medicine (MMed) in Family Medicine and becoming a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians Singapore (FCFPC). After relocating to Australia in 2015, she achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2016. In addition to her clinical practice, she contributes to the education of future medical professionals as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Wollongong.

As an experienced General Practitioner, Dr Jayabalan possesses a broad range of clinical expertise, with a particular interest in women's and children's health. She is highly skilled in managing chronic conditions such as asthma and diabetes, and she provides specialised care in weight management and obesity. Dr Jayabalan is also passionate about supporting women through various life stages, offering dedicated services in menopause and perimenopause management, contraceptive implant insertions and removals, and antenatal shared care. Her holistic approach ensures that patients receive well-rounded support for both physical and mental wellbeing.
