Dr Avigdor Saks

Dr Avigdor Saks is a highly accomplished Consultant Radiologist who specialises in Clinical Radiology, with a particular focus on general radiology and body imaging. Dedicated to providing precise diagnostic insights, he utilises advanced imaging modalities, including computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), to support patient care. Throughout his career, Dr Saks has maintained a strong commitment to clinical excellence, ensuring that patients receive accurate and reassuring diagnostic reports to guide their treatment pathways.

Dr Saks completed his primary medical education in South Africa, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1981. He subsequently earned a Diploma of Child Health in 1985 and qualified as a Radiologist in 1989, receiving his Fellowship of the College of Radiologists of South Africa (FFRad). To further his expertise, he completed a prestigious magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) fellowship at a major teaching hospital in London between 1993 and 1995. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce, completed in 1993. Dr Saks achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 1998, reflecting his high standards of professional competence.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Saks has contributed significantly to medical education and professional standards. He has served as a Senior Lecturer at multiple prominent Australian universities, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of medical professionals. He has also contributed his expertise as a Senior Abdomen Examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. His leadership experience includes serving as a Senior Staff Specialist at a major public hospital and holding the position of Medical Director for a global teleradiology provider, where he oversaw diagnostic reporting standards for numerous healthcare facilities.
