Dr Asoka Herat

Dr Asoka Herat is a highly qualified and dedicated Consultant Dermatologist who provides comprehensive care for a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. With a patient-centred approach, she is committed to delivering evidence-based treatments tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Her practice encompasses all aspects of general dermatology, with a particular focus on diagnosing and managing complex skin disorders.

Dr Herat completed her medical education at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1992. She undertook extensive specialist training in dermatology across both Australia and the United Kingdom, gaining valuable international clinical experience. In recognition of her expertise and high standards of clinical practice, she was awarded Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2010.

Throughout her career, Dr Herat has developed significant expertise in several key sub-specialty areas. She has a strong clinical interest in paediatric dermatology and women's dermatology, including the management of vulval diseases. Additionally, she is highly experienced in treating common yet challenging conditions such as acne, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and hidradenitis suppurativa (recurrent boils).
