Dr Arlene Gana

Dr Arlene Gana is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, holistic care to patients of all ages. With a strong clinical background that spans both general medicine and specialised fields, she focuses on delivering patient-centred healthcare. Dr Gana believes in building lasting relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their health journeys.

Dr Gana completed her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines in 1988, where she also undertook advanced training in endocrinology. After relocating to Australia, she chose to focus on primary care and completed her training in general practice. She obtained a Diploma in Child Health in 2017 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2019. Her professional journey includes valuable experience working as a General Practitioner Visiting Medical Officer (GP VMO) across rural Queensland and New South Wales.

In her daily practice, Dr Gana manages a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Her extensive background in endocrinology gives her a unique perspective on managing complex metabolic conditions, with a particular interest in diabetes mellitus. She is also highly skilled in women's health, antenatal care, and paediatric medicine, offering tailored support to families and individuals.
