Dr Annika Smith

Dr Annika Smith is a highly qualified Consultant Dermatologist who provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she manages a broad spectrum of skin, hair, and nail conditions. She specialises in general, adult, and paediatric dermatology, with a particular focus on complex medical dermatology, skin cancer diagnostics, and preventative care.

Dr Smith completed her medical degree with First Class Honours at Monash University, where she received multiple academic prizes in clinical medicine, infectious diseases, dermatology, and psychiatry. She also holds a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Her postgraduate training as a Physician in general medicine was undertaken at major teaching hospitals in Sydney, followed by specialist training in dermatology across several prominent public hospitals and dedicated skin foundations. To further her expertise, she completed a prestigious fellowship in medical dermatology at a world-renowned institute in London, followed by advanced sub-specialty training in New York. She is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Smith is an Associate Professor who is actively involved in academic research and medical education. Her research interests focus on chronic inflammatory skin diseases, advanced therapeutics, and the systemic impacts of skin conditions, such as the link between psoriasis and cardiovascular health.
