Dr Andrew Higgins is a highly qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Higgins began his academic journey by completing his undergraduate medical degree in Melbourne. Driven by a passion for his chosen specialty, he went on to obtain his dental degree with Honours from James Cook University. Following his extensive training, he was awarded a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2019, receiving the prestigious Robert M Cook Medal for achieving the highest mark in the Fellowship examination. To further refine his skills, Dr Higgins also completed a post-graduate Fellowship in head and neck reconstructive surgery in Oxford, United Kingdom, ensuring his surgical techniques remain at the forefront of modern practice.

In his clinical practice, Dr Higgins covers the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has a particular interest in complex dental implant surgery, bone grafting, and full-arch dental implant restorations. His expertise also extends to dentoalveolar procedures, including the safe and efficient removal of wisdom teeth, as well as corrective jaw surgery, genioplasty, and the management of facial trauma.
