Dr Andrew Chio

Dr Andrew Chio is a highly accomplished Dentist who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality dental care. With a clinical philosophy centred on a thorough and personalised approach, he focuses on helping patients achieve optimal oral health and beautiful, lasting smiles. Dr Chio has a particular interest in reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry, utilising advanced techniques and modern materials to deliver tailored treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs.

Dr Chio completed his Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Melbourne in 1995, graduating at the top of his class and receiving multiple awards for clinical achievement. Following his graduation, he completed a clinical internship at a regional base hospital before gaining diverse experience working in a rural hospital in Nepal and participating in clinical programmes with the Royal Flying Doctor Service. He is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Prosthodontic Society, where he has previously served as a Federal Treasurer and Federal Committee Member.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Chio is deeply committed to dental education and professional development. He serves as an undergraduate Clinical Teacher at both the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University, and frequently lectures and assists in hands-on courses designed to provide advanced training in restorative dentistry. His expertise is also recognised in sports dentistry, where he has served as the team Dentist for a prominent professional football club, formulating and implementing their comprehensive dental health programme. He has also published numerous articles on restorative dentistry in peer-reviewed journals and dental publications.
