About Dr Simone Belobrov
Dr Simone Belobrov is a Specialist in Oral Medicine based in Melbourne at Hawthorn Specialist Clinic. She has special interests in treating oral mucosal diseases and the management of chronic orofacial pain. In addition to her clinical expertise, she has also published papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her work at international conferences; continuing to stay at the forefront of new dental advances in an effort to always provide the best and most current treatments for her patients.
Dr Belobrov completed her Bachelor of Dental Science degree with honours at Melbourne Dental School in 2004. Following this, she began working as a General Dental Practitioner in both public and private dental practices. In 2010, she was awarded her Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Following this she continued working in private practice and at Melbourne Dental School as a medically qualified clinical and preclinical demonstrator in general dentistry and oral radiology.
Following on from her successful early career, she then went on to complete a PhD in Oral Medicine at Melbourne Dental School in 2018, followed by her Oral Medicine Registrar at the Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne. In 2021, after completing her registrar training, Dr Belobrov was awarded her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry degree in Oral Medicine from the University of Melbourne.

Simone is a very thorough specialist dentist. Her friendly manner, and clear recommendations concerning my TMJ have made my transition from my retired specialist go very smoothly. My TMJ is not straightforward so appreciated the strategies she told me to do including going to a TMJ physiotherapist. Can’t recommend her enough.
