At The Snore Fix Doctor, successful treatment of snoring, sleep disordered breathing, OSA, apnoea (apnea), TMD pain and menopause related sleep issues, are top priorities. Before visiting the office, patients can take advantage of a free 20-minute Telehealth consultation. This private, one-on-one call, conducted via phone rather than a public video platform, ensures confidentiality and allows the team to address any specific concerns that may need closer examination during the in-person visit. Telehealth consultations can be scheduled after hours to fit patients' busy schedules.

During the Telehealth session, a Practice Partner assesses whether a referral to another specialist might be more suitable, helping to save time and money for the patient.

During the Diagnostic Consultation with Dr. Ian Maratos, FDSM (Aust) LVIF (USA) BDSc (Melb) & Jacqueline Pascarl OAM, MASHA, SMT HOSM, patients will spend approximately 120 minutes undergoing a comprehensive oral examination, psycho social history, medical triage & frank, indepth evaluations/discussions on overall health and underlying conditions & imaging. This thorough assessment may include Pantographic images, scans, evaluation of the jaw, throat, ears, and facial areas, and an in-depth discussion about neck, hearing, breathing, chewing, sleep patterns, and any history of accidents. Dr. Maratos will also examine and measure various ratios of the mouth, jaw, nose, and teeth, and may take photographs to record details such as facial mid-lines and profiles.

Dr. Maratos will evaluate oral and dental health and inquire about diet, exercise, and any past traumas, regardless of their severity or how long ago they occurred. A 3D scan of the mouth may also be conducted if necessary.

The appointment begins with a 30-minute session with the Practice Partner, who is Certified in Menopause Health and is an Emergenc Medic, she reviews the patient’s general medical health and history. Blood pressure, oxygen saturation levels, heart rate, neck measurements, weight, and height are recorded. Detailed statistical information and family history are collected to tailor the treatment effectively. The multi-award winning practice believes that a comprehensive understanding of the patient’s health—including medications and other dietary supplements —enhances treatment outcomes.

Practice Partner, Jacqueline Pascarl OAM, MASHA SMT HOSM, works with patients at the clinic on menopausal and perimenopausal sleep disorders, with the goal of improving overall sleep health.
