He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1996 and obtained a Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound in 1997. Furthering his commitment to professional excellence, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand in 2006 and completed level 2 training in CT coronary angiography in 2008.
