Dr Alison Lavender

Dr Alison Lavender is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a clinical focus that spans across all aspects of family medicine, she is particularly passionate about supporting patients through various stages of life. Her primary areas of clinical interest include paediatrics and women's health, where she delivers compassionate and tailored medical support. Additionally, Dr Lavender is a qualified Specialist HIV Prescriber, allowing her to offer specialised management and care for patients living with HIV.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Lavender is actively involved in medical education and research. She serves as a part-time Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University School of Medicine and Psychology, specifically within the Rural Clinical School. In this academic role, she helps train and mentor the next generation of medical professionals, sharing her extensive knowledge of General Practice and regional healthcare.

Dr Lavender obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from St Thomas's Hospital Medical School in London, qualifying in 1992. Following her graduation, she gained valuable clinical experience working in the South of England before relocating to Australia. She holds several postgraduate qualifications, including a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG) and a Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning (DFFP). Dr Lavender is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
