Dr Yusuf Michla

Dr Yusuf Michla is a highly skilled Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care. Specialising in upper limb disorders, he provides expert assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing bone, joint, ligament, and tendon conditions. Dr Michla prioritises an empathetic and structured approach, ensuring patients receive clear explanations and tailored care plans designed to restore mobility, alleviate pain, and improve overall quality of life.

In his clinical practice, Dr Michla focuses on advanced surgical techniques and non-operative management strategies for upper limb trauma and reconstructive conditions. His key areas of clinical interest include shoulder and elbow surgery, arthroscopic shoulder procedures, rotator cuff repairs, shoulder replacement surgery, and complex fracture care, such as distal radius fracture reductions. Dr Michla completed his higher surgical training and earned his professional qualifications through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, achieving Membership (MRCSEd) and Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery (FRCS Tr & Orth). Dedicated to surgical advancement and teaching, he holds prominent positions including Deputy Director for the Royal College of Surgeons Foundation Trainees Surgical Societies programme and Regional Surgical Ambassador. Additionally, he serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer and academic mentor, having been recognized as Orthopaedic Trainer of the Year in his region for his commitment to clinical education.
