Mr Yahya Elhassan

Yahya is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 17 years of experience in

Trauma and Orthopaedics, currently serving as Clinical Lead for Trauma and

Orthopaedics, Lead for Foot and Ankle Trauma and Ankle Arthroplasty services at

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. 

Completed Higher Surgical Training (HST) in Ireland and awarded FRCS (Tr & Orth)

in 2018, followed by CCST. Recipient of the IITOS/RCSI Travelling Fellowship

(2020), with advanced Foot and Ankle Reconstruction Fellowship training in Leeds.

Extensive experience in adult and paediatric trauma, tertiary referrals, and

multidisciplinary care pathways.

Strong academic and research background, including a full-time research fellowship

in gait analysis. Published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and

international conferences (BOFAS, IOFAS, AOFAS), with ongoing research interests

in motion analysis and biomechanics.
