Mr Vish Kumar

Dr Kumar seen me in clinic at Hereford hospital in regards to heel pain, change in gate and a heel spur identified on an MRI scan. Dr kumar reassured me that my main issue was planted fasciitis and that the heel spur was an incidental finding. He then went out of his way to show me some clinical studies and recommended some insoles that could support my recovery. Dr Kumar listened to my concerns with compassion and respect. He reassured me that this would improve in time with insoles and physiotherapy. After months of being in pain I have now seen an improvement and I am very grateful to Dr Kumar guidance and recommendations. A fantastic consultant who I would recommend to anyone without a doubt!

I have been seen by Mr Vish Kumar for Over a year. I have always found him a very pleasant and helpful. He replaced my left ankle which was a great success. He is professional and treats his patients with respect. I have great respect for Mr Kumar. And would trust him with my life. I think he is an outstanding consultant and surgeon.

Mr Kumar’s clinics are frequent and very busy. It is impressive that so many patients can be seen and treated in an efficient and caring manner. The Oxford Suite is in my opinion, overcrowded and lacking in natural light for such a busy facility. The Trauma and Orthopaedic department deserves an upgrade which will improve the experience for both patients and staff.

Saw Mr Kumar today for my last visit following ankle ligament surgery. Always a pleasure - courteous, attentive and genuinely interested in my progress and recovery. And to round it off his surgical sewing is extremely neat! If you’re in need of ankle surgery you couldn’t be in better hands. Highly recommended.

Mr Kumar was very friendly and welcoming and professional. He explained the procedure clearly and welcomed any questions. He saw me promptly after waking from the procedure and checked I was okay, and again welcomed any questions. The same goes for my follow up appointment.

Mr Kumar was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, timely but spent time and it never felt rushed. He explained what was happening to my son, not only to me. My son has ASD and is anxious and Mr Kumar was mindful of this and acted accordingly without being obvious. My son felt heard and validated. Mr Kumar is a thorough thoughtful and excellent care provider. Thank you so much.

Dr Kumar is a very good listener and asks the right questions to find the right diagnoses . Dr Kumar is very professional and also puts the patient at peace. He is really an asset to the NHS.
