Mr Vish Kumar was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon at Wye Valley NHS Trust in 2021. Prior to this, he held fixed-term Consultant posts at Cambridge University Hospitals and Buckinghamshire NHS Trust since Aug 2017. His clinical practice covers all aspects of foot and ankle surgery.
He has keen interest in medical education and surgical training. He is GMC- recognised Clinical Supervisor (nCS) for Higher Orthopaedic Surgical Training. He is on faculty for Cambridge FRCS Orth Basic Science Revision Course.

Upon seeing me in consultation, he saw me in clinic early, spending extra time to discuss everything from a medical point of view, he then proceeded to follow-up and call me the next day. I cannot recommend Mr Kumar enough, he is a credit to the profession, the NHS and his private practices at Spire.

Today was my final visit to Mr Kumar approximately 3 months after my operation. On every occasion he has patiently answered all my questions , explained in a way that I can understand. He has been thorough in his examination of my condition which gives confidence. I have no medical knowledge but I can say that he has been thorough”fixed” my osteoarthritis in my toe because the pain I have endured the last six years is now gone. I cannot praise him highly enough - mainly due to his ability to give the patient the confidence that he is fully engaged with them and the process . Please pass on my sincere thanks to Mr Kumar.

The appointment was for my 10 year old daughter so had surgery undertaken by Mr kumar, he was very kind and spoke with my daughter to make sure she understood things - he did a great job and my daughter has healed amazingly

I can’t rate Mr Kumar highly enough. I had a very bad Achilles rupture which he repaired brilliantly. I really appreciated the time he took to explain the procedure as well as take onboard my input and views too. He is extremely professional as well and friendly, open and caring.
