About Mr Vish Kumar
Mr Vish Kumar was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon at Wye Valley NHS Trust in 2021. Prior to this, he held fixed-term Consultant posts at Cambridge University Hospitals and Buckinghamshire NHS Trust since Aug 2017. His clinical practice covers all aspects of foot and ankle surgery.
He has keen interest in medical education and surgical training. He is GMC- recognised Clinical Supervisor (nCS) for Higher Orthopaedic Surgical Training. He is on faculty for Cambridge FRCS Orth Basic Science Revision Course.
Mr Kumar is an acknowledged reviewer for The Bone and Joint Journal (BJJ). He has published and contributed to several publications indexed on PubMed as first author. He has undertaken research in the field of orthopaedics in the UK & Australia.

I recently broke my ankle and was attended to by Dr Kumar. His explanation of my injury and how I would need to protect my ankle was excellent. He was concerned that I was travelling abroad but gave me clear guidance on what I needed to do encourage the ankle to mend. He took care to X-ray my ankle and showed me that it was healing. His clarity and care were exceptional. I cannot thank him enough for all he did; and excellent doctor.
