Dr Valerie Crolley

Dr Valerie Crolley is a Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in the treatment and management of adult malignancies. Known for her compassionate and evidence-based approach, she is dedicated to providing patient-centred care tailored to the individual needs of each person under her care. She works closely within multidisciplinary medical teams to ensure patients receive comprehensive, coordinated, and supportive management throughout every stage of their treatment pathway.

In her clinical practice, Dr Crolley focuses on gastrointestinal cancers, with particular expertise in biliary tract cancer, gallbladder cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, and upper gastrointestinal malignancies, as well as cancer of unknown primary. Her expertise spans a wide range of advanced systemic anti-cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, targeted treatments, and immunotherapy. She maintains an active involvement in clinical research and translational oncology, with a focus on genomic profiling, biomarker identification, and molecular testing to guide precision medicine.

Dr Crolley earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) following an intercalated degree in Anatomy and Human Sciences at King's College London. She was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Oncology by the Institute of Cancer Research in 2020 and completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Oncology at University College London in 2025, where her research investigated molecular alterations in biliary tract cancers. She holds the Specialty Certificate Examination and a Certificate of Completion of Training in Medical Oncology, and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians.
