Dr Tien completed his undergraduate medical education at Imperial College London, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) along with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in 2015. He subsequently completed Core Surgical Training in the United Kingdom and passed his post-graduate examinations to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2017, later attaining Fellowship (FRCS) with the college.
