Dr Thinzar Min

Dr Thinzar Min is an accomplished Consultant Endocrinologist and Consultant Physician specialising in the management of complex endocrine disorders, diabetes mellitus, and general internal health conditions. Dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, Dr Min provides comprehensive clinical evaluations and tailored treatment strategies for individuals living with hormonal imbalances, metabolic conditions, and long-term glandular diseases. Her practice focuses on empowering patients through clear communication, structured management plans, and holistic care designed to optimise health outcomes.

Dr Min earned her primary medical degree in 2005 in Yangon, Myanmar. She furthered her postgraduate qualifications by completing a Master of Science in Diabetes with distinction from Cardiff University in 2014. Subsequently, she completed a Doctor of Medicine research degree at Swansea University Medical School, investigating the long-term metabolic outcomes of bariatric surgery in individuals with diabetes and impaired glucose regulation. Dr Min successfully completed her higher specialist clinical training in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Medicine through the Wales Deanery in 2018. In addition to her clinical duties, she serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, actively engaging in medical education, supervising trainees, and leading clinical research initiatives.

Her key clinical and research interests encompass type 2 diabetes management, obesity and metabolic healthcare, and the screening and management of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (steatotic liver disease) in patients with diabetes. Dr Min is deeply committed to advancing patient care through clinical trials and innovative medical approaches.
