Mr Theodoros Valsamakis

Mr. Valsamakis has 18 years' of medical experience of which more than 10 years in ENT field. Following his medical degree and his Master of Science in "International Medicine and Health Crisis Management", he completed his training in all aspects of ENT.

He undertook Fellowships in Head & Neck and Rhinology surgery in Queen`s Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust in Glasgow between 2013-2015 and also completed Fellowship training in Paediatric Otolaryngology in Birmingham;s Women`s and Children`s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2016.

He was subsequently appointed to the post of ENT Consultant in University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in 2006. In his department., he teaches and supports the ENT trainees as a clinical supervisor and he had the role of the Clinical Audit Lead. Since 2022 he has been the Head of Service of the ENT Department.

His current practice covers all general ENT pathology seeing patients with common and less common disorders, such as glue ear, snoring, sleep apnoea, tonsillitis, halitosis, throat problems, drooling, thyroglossal cysts, nasal blockage, rhinitis, septal deviation, septal perforation, nasal polyposis, nasal deformity, hearing problems, voice issues, ear deformity. 

His special interest lies in nasal and airway pathology both for adults and children.

Mr. Valsamakis runs specialist clinics in Rhinology/Rhinoplasty and Children`s airway. Advanced sinus surgery is a significant part of his regular practice using state of the art equipment including a 3D Navigation system.

Mr Valsamakis has a keen interest in cosmetic rhinoplasty and cosmetic pinnaplasty (prominent ears) and has been certified by the Intercollegiate Cosmetic Surgery Board.

He has also been invited as a speaker to regional airway meetings and as a faculty member in regional advanced endoscopic sinus courses.
