I have been working as Consultant Nephrologist since Sep 2012.
I completed my Undergraduate qualification (MBBS) from India in 1998 and Post graduate qualification (MD Medicine) from Delhi University, India in 2004. I came to UK to gain specialist training in Renal Medicine in 2004 and did my training in Birmingham, London and finally Higher Speciality Training in Renal Medicine from Sheffield Kidney Institute before being appointed as Consultant Nephrologist in Sep 2012.
As a consultant, I have developed special interest in Renal Vasculitis and Lupus. These are the conditions that cause intense inflammation and damage to kidneys and other organs and need agressive treatment with immunosuppression. I am developing Vasculitis services at my hospital working closely with Rheumatology team.
I also look after patients with other kidney conditions like Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Diseases, Renal stones and patient who are on Renal replacement treatments like Dialysis and Kidney Transplant.
Outside Medicine, I am keen follower of Cricket, likes to travel and listen to Bollywood Music.
