Mr Talvinder Singh

Mr Talvinder Singh is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb surgery. He works at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, where he holds a senior clinical role including Trauma Lead responsibilities, and sees private patients at hospitals including The Meriden Hospital in Coventry, The Priory Hospital in Birmingham, The Droitwich Spa Hospital, and Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull.

His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and surgical management of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, as well as general trauma. His areas of expertise include upper limb surgery, microsurgery, and complex trauma management. He performs procedures such as carpal tunnel release, rotator cuff repair, shoulder arthroscopy, and trigger finger release, and has extensive experience in reconstructive and microvascular techniques.

Mr Singh graduated from the University of the West Indies and completed his basic surgical training at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust. He subsequently undertook specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery within the Southwest London training programme. During his training, he completed a travelling fellowship in hand surgery in India and later undertook advanced fellowships in upper limb and microvascular surgery in Australia, as well as a trauma fellowship at Brighton Major Trauma Centre.

He has extensive surgical experience, having performed thousands of procedures, particularly in upper limb surgery. In addition to his clinical work, he is involved in education and training, supervising trainees and teaching medical students. He also contributes to the development of upper limb services within his NHS Trust.
