Dr Susan Freeman

Dr Susan Freeman is a Consultant Radiologist who practises at Momentm Health in Cambridge. She is also a Consultant Radiologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she was appointed in 2008 and became Lead Radiologist for the Gynaecology Imaging Service in 2012.

Dr Freeman specialises in clinical radiology, with particular expertise in genito-urinary and gynaecological imaging. Her clinical interests include the use of MRI in the staging and treatment planning of cervical and endometrial cancers, CT and MRI for the diagnosis, staging and assessment of ovarian cancer, and ultrasound and MRI in the evaluation and management of endometriosis. She also performs MRI scans, CT scans, gynaecological ultrasound examinations and general ultrasound imaging.

She studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a BA (Hons) and MB BChir. Following postgraduate medical training, she obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and later became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists.

At Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Freeman works within a tertiary referral service for gynaecological oncology and specialist benign gynaecology. She has a longstanding interest in female pelvic imaging and has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters in the field. She is actively involved in teaching, having delivered invited lectures across the UK and Europe and contributed to national and international educational courses and workshops in gynaecological imaging.

Dr Freeman is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and a member of the Royal College of Physicians.
