I visited Dr Hussain as I am trialling the Medtronic 780g insulin pump and I had a number of questions about this and other pump systems. I had an excellent experience. I found the visit really informative and it significantly helped me think more clearly about how to compare different pump systems and their outcomes. Dr Hussain’s expertise in pump treatments really came through, as he was able to quickly get up to speed on my medical history, respond to all my questions, cross-compare the different pumps and give his view on what might be appropriate based on my needs / lifestyle. What really helped and I found particularly impressive, was that he is able to draw on the most up to date medical / academic research to support his thinking. For example, he referred to helpful recent studies and also the latest developments in pump technology. We covered a lot of ground in the session and I felt much more enlightened in making a choice around my future treatment. Dr Hussain is highly professional, communicates clearly (distilling complex issues into digestible summaries for patients) but also has a welcoming, affable style. No question feels silly and he really demonstrates a strong interest and energy in wanting the patient to reach the best solution.

I first met Dr Hussain in 2024, back then I was massively struggling with my blood sugar and received little support from my local team. Dr Hussain has provided outstanding care and support, my blood sugar, knowledge and confidence has improved massively. I’ve had a recent appointment where me made a few tweaks to my settings and as always receive the very best guidance from him both towards my control of my blood sugar and other areas of life like sport and work.

I had an appointment with this doctor last week, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had managing my Type 1 diabetes. From the moment I walked in, he was attentive, patient, and genuinely interested in understanding not just my numbers, but my day-to-day life with diabetes. He took the time to explain things clearly, answered every question without rushing, and made me feel completely heard and supported. What really stood out was how knowledgeable and up-to-date he is, while still being incredibly practical and empathetic. It didn’t feel like a generic consultation — it felt personalised and thoughtful. Managing Type 1 can be overwhelming at times, but after this appointment I felt more confident, reassured, and in control. I’m truly grateful to have found a doctor like this and would highly recommend him to anyone living with diabetes.
