Dr Steven Kyriacou

Dr Steven Kyriacou is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in trauma and upper limb surgery. His clinical focus encompasses conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care, Dr Kyriacou evaluates each patient thoroughly to formulate tailored treatment plans that aim to restore movement, relieve pain, and improve overall quality of life. With broad expertise in upper limb disorders, Dr Kyriacou treats a wide range of conditions involving bones, joints, tendons, and nerves. His areas of clinical interest include rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, frozen shoulder, shoulder and elbow arthritis, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, peripheral nerve compression syndromes, and hand or wrist fractures. He employs both non-surgical modalities, such as targeted physical therapy and therapeutic injection therapy, as well as minimally invasive keyhole surgery, joint preservation techniques, and joint replacement procedures.

Dr Kyriacou earned his primary medical degree from the University of Birmingham Medical School before completing higher specialist orthopaedic training across London and the East Midlands. He further advanced his surgical expertise through prestigious upper limb fellowships at major tertiary centres and specialist units. In addition, Dr Kyriacou holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from University College London and serves as a Faculty Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand.
