Mr Stephen Trapp

With over 15 years experience, Mr. Stephen Trapp is a Consultant Physiotherapist, Acupuncturist, and Pilates Instructor practicing at Lyfe Health Bournemouth. He completed a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy before going on to achieve a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine and a Diploma in Injection Therapy. In addition, he has trained in acupuncture through the AACP Foundation, broadening the range of therapeutic approaches he can offer his patients.

With more than a decade of experience as a physiotherapist, Stephen provides comprehensive care across a wide range of needs. His clinical practice includes surgical physiotherapy, sports injury treatment, injury rehabilitation, prehabilitation, acupuncture, and Pilates-based therapy. He places particular emphasis on helping athletes return to full fitness, combining his clinical expertise with his own sporting background.

Before pursuing physiotherapy, Stephen competed in tennis at an international level, representing Great Britain as a teenager and travelling worldwide with the national team. This experience gives him first-hand insight into the physical demands of sport and the importance of effective rehabilitation.

At The Medical, Bournemouth, Stephen works with patients of all ages and activity levels, supporting recovery, enhancing performance, and promoting long-term musculoskeletal health.
