Mr Sriskandarasa Senthilkumaran

I am an orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in Foot & Ankle Surgery. I am also a
general adult orthopaedic trauma surgeon. I perform all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including arthroplasty, diabetic work, minimally invasive surgery and deformity corrections with circular frames.

After graduating from the University of Aberdeen, I completed my orthopaedic training in the North of Scotland rotation. I undertook two fellowships in foot and ankle surgery in Glasgow (Mr C Senthil Kumar) and Australia (Mr Harvinder Bedi). I started my consultant career in Aberdeen in 2021. My elective practice is based at Woodend General Hospital and trauma practice is at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

I am a supervisor and trainer for both junior foundation doctors and specialist orthopaedic trainees. I am a tutor and mentor for medical students at the university. I have a great passion for teaching.

Outside of his time in the hospital, I enjoys hiking with my wife and sons. Being from Sri Lanka, he is naturally an avid cricket fan and an amateur player.
