Dr Gurunathan was very kind and patient. He explained everything in simple terms. I have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
Dr Gurunathan combines expertise with kindness. The entire experience was reassuring, professional, and thorough.
Dr Gurunathan was very kind and professional during my appointment. He took the time to listen to my concerns and explained everything clearly, which made the whole experience very reassuring.
Pro- He is charming and projects confidence in what he says. He speaks clearly without resorting to medical obsfuscation. Ordered tests to try to identify why there was an unusual ECG. He came across as reassuring. Cons- he didn't listen to me. He didn't note down relevant information (off work with autistic burnout, over 25kg weight loss in the last year) even when repeatedly stated (or if he did, he didn't subsequently refer to that information). These are both highly relevant to blood pressure. I emailed his secretary details of all the historic tests I have had which were listed on the NHS app, including weight and blood pressure. He was unaware of this. On post- test follow up, when he was explaining he wasn't sure why the original NHS ECG looked like it did, I again reminded him of those key details. He had clearly forgotten them. Only at that stage did he become interested as they provided an explanation. Additionally I came to him concerned that I may have Vasospastic Angina, a significantly under diagnosed condition. His reaction was to say it was highly unlikely, without asking questions on why I may think that, or if I had other symptoms that may support such a diagnosis. Recommendation- He needs to improve his listening skills and curiosity. He should revisit the skills taught to med students over at least tge last 15 years to keep asking "why" and "is there anything else you think may be relevant". That way he would have discovered other symptoms I have/had at the time of my potential attack, that make Vasospastic Angina a more likely risk worth in...

Dr Gurunathan treated both myself and my 22 year old son for heart irregularities in 2025. He was exceptional in both cases with his knowledge, patient care, speed of investigations and follow up. We would have no hesitation at all in recommending him.
I had a very professional appointment with quick follow-up. Dr Gurunathan was thorough with the investigations and very polite, which made the whole experience comfortable. The medical explanations were clear and easy to follow, and I really appreciated the time taken to explain everything. Overall, a very positive and reassuring experience.
