Ms. Sophie Corbett is an experienced Eating Disorder and Mental Health Dietitian with a focus on supporting teens and adults dealing with eating disorders or disordered eating. Specialising in areas such as vegan diets in recovery and body image concerns, Sophie has worked both in the NHS and private practice, gaining expertise in a wide range of dietary and mental health challenges.
Sophie adopts a modern, non-diet, and weight-inclusive approach to nutrition, ensuring that her clients are treated holistically and supported throughout their recovery. She has received additional training in therapy methods, ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), and body image work, and remains dedicated to staying updated on the latest scientific evidence and qualifications. Her approach to building trust and developing strong therapeutic relationships with her clients is central to her practice, ensuring that they feel both understood and empowered.
In 2024, Sophie founded Mental Health Dietitians, a specialised team of Eating Disorder and Mental Health Dietitians. Through this platform, she provides regular blogs on relevant topics and offers an educational newsletter aimed at promoting better understanding of nutrition and mental health.
Sophie is also active on social media, where she shares valuable content to combat nutrition misinformation and foster a positive relationship with food. You can find her on Instagram and TikTok under the handle @cornonthecorb.
Sophie’s personal experience has deeply shaped her professional journey. As a teenager, she struggled with body image and her relationship with food, and at 17, she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. This experience gave her a profound appreciation for her body, which led her to pursue a career in dietetics. She graduated with first-class honours in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Nottingham in 2020.
Sophie’s career began in community dietetics before she transitioned into child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS), where she contributed to developing an eating disorder pathway. Later, she worked in a private hospital setting, supporting patients through their recovery. In addition to her clinical work, Sophie has trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Body Image Counselling, Guided Self-Help, and Motivational Interviewing.

Sophie was very compassionate and this enabled me to be honest about where things are for me at the moment and think about setting goals for the future. I've come away feeling more motivated and sure that positive change is possible
Sophie has been just a joy to work with. She put me at ease very quickly, provided a safe environment in sessions with her calm demeanour and normalised a lot of what I was experiencing whilst providing realistic goals that have boosted my confidence and life style. Sophie is also very knowledgeable and has provided great recommendations and signposting. I have learnt so much around what a healthy lifestyle is and how to accomplish this in a way that works best for me. Sophie also had a firm understanding of neurodivergence and how this can affect certain dietary requirements so was great to talk to someone who actually understood that aspect. I could not recommend Sophie and her work enough as she has changed my life for the better!
sophie created a safe and supported environment where i felt able and comfortable to share my struggles and gave me hope for the future and recovery
Dr Sophie was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. She made sure to get a thorough history and asked helpful questions. We made a constructive plan for our next visit that I can follow.
I got in contact with Sophie as I have been having some troubles with binge eating. From the start she really put me at ease, she is so kind and supportive and I can’t believe how much progress I have made thanks to her help.
I had an assessment with Sophie to help design a dietary intervention. I really appreciated how non judgemental and accepting she was. I felt listened to and feel confident she is going to help me meet my nutritional needs with an approach tailored to address my difficulties. I think for many people seeking help is a big step and seeing Sophie will help you feel really reassured and listened to.
I have been Sophie’s client for the last 6 months. In that time I have felt my relationship with food and my confidence in myself grow. She has helped me change the beliefs I hold about food and helped me on the road to recovery from anorexia. As an autistic person, I have struggled in the past with connecting with health professionals but Sophie adapts the sessions to meet my needs. She always sends notes after our sessions which is useful in making sure I keep track of what I should be doing.
My sessions are a held by Sophie, who is friendly, validating, supportive and widely informative. She pushes me just enough for me to be able to accomplish my goals and is there to problem solve if things don’t go as expected. Sophie gives more than nutritional advice and I have found our sessions to be a safe space to improve my lifestyle. Sophie is a great advocate and inspiration for health and wellbeing.
Sophie is so kind, understanding, supportive, friendly, encouraging, caring, knowledgeable and has a lovely personality that helps you feel at ease She doesn't just listen she makes you feel seen and heard. I was able to talk and explain my struggles without a fear of being judged. She provides lots of great helpful tips/advice, works with you and creates a plan that feels doable an not overwhelming. I'm so glad I booked a appointment with her i finally feel heard and positive about finding my sparkle
I would highly recommend working with Sophie. She is supportive, taking into account every aspect of lifestyle, making recommendations based on a range of factors and personal preferences.
I have been Sophie’s clinical supervisor since 2022 and know her clinical work very well. She is a thoughtful and compassionate dietitian who brings a calm, professional and empathetic approach to her work. Sophie is clearly very dedicated to her clients and to providing high quality care, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to those seeking support.
