Mr Simon James is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist and Consultant Electrophysiologist who provides expert care for patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Mr James qualified in medicine from Newcastle University Medical School in 1995. Following his graduation, he undertook extensive postgraduate training, completing higher specialist training in cardiac electrophysiology within the Northern Deanery. His robust educational background and dedicated focus on cardiac rhythm management have enabled him to stay at the forefront of modern cardiovascular medicine.

Specialising in cardiac electrophysiology, Mr James possesses clinical expertise in treating complex heart rhythm abnormalities, including persistent atrial fibrillation and bradyarrhythmia. His clinical interests encompass modern device implantation techniques, such as traditional pacemakers, leadless pacemakers, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices.
