Dr Shanthini Ravindran

Dr Shanthini Ravindran is an experienced paediatrician practicing at the Syon Clinic and also works within the NHS at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust, where she supports children and families through comprehensive developmental assessment and care.

Dr Ravindran holds an MBBS from the University of Colombo earned in 2000 and an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University. She has also been a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) since 2025. 

Dr Ravindran has extensive clinical experience in identifying and managing neurodevelopmental conditions, with a particular interest in early childhood development. Much of her work focuses on supporting children under five, where early recognition and intervention can make a meaningful difference to long-term outcomes. Her areas of expertise include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental delay, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and a range of learning difficulties.

A key part of Dr Ravindran’s approach is collaborative care. She works closely with families, schools and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure each child receives timely assessment and practical support tailored to their individual needs. Her goal is to help children reach their full potential while giving parents and educators the tools and understanding needed to support development effectively.
