Dr Sarah Ngan

Dr Sarah Ngan is a Consultant Medical Oncologist who specialises in the diagnosis and systemic management of complex malignancies. Her primary clinical focus encompasses upper gastrointestinal cancers, including oesophageal and stomach malignancies, alongside acute oncology and carcinoma of unknown primary. Dedicated to delivering compassionate and individualised care, Dr Ngan works alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure every patient receives a comprehensive, evidence-based management plan tailored to their specific diagnosis and personal needs.

Dr Ngan completed her medical degree, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1998, following her attainment of a first-class honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree in 1997. She achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, London, in 2001. She subsequently completed specialist Medical Oncology training at Imperial College London, where she earned a PhD in 2009 focusing on molecular pathways involved in cancer development.

Beyond her direct clinical care, Dr Ngan is actively involved in clinical research and digital health developments within cancer medicine. She serves as a principal investigator for Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials evaluating novel therapeutic interventions for upper gastrointestinal cancers. Dr Ngan has also taken on prominent leadership roles in establishing regional clinical guidelines and pathway frameworks for cancer of unknown primary, focusing on refining diagnostic processes and optimising outcomes for oncology patients.
