Dr Sangeetha Palaparthy

Dr Sangeetha Palaparthy is a dedicated Consultant Gynaecologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive medical care across all stages of women's health. She focuses on delivering patient-centred medical and surgical solutions tailored to individual needs, helping patients navigate gynaecological health concerns with reassurance and clarity. Her practice encompasses routine examinations, advanced diagnostic testing, and specialist interventions for a wide range of benign pelvic conditions.

Dr Palaparthy completed her primary medical qualifications in India in 2004, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), before earning a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DGO). She subsequently completed postgraduate specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Scotland, developing sub-specialist expertise in benign gynaecological surgery and minimal access techniques. She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and is fully accredited as a Colposcopist and Colposcopy trainer with the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP). She also holds active memberships with the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE).

Specialising in minimal access keyhole surgery and colposcopy, Dr Palaparthy offers extensive clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating complex gynaecological conditions. Her areas of clinical focus include menstrual disorders, heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and chronic pelvic pain. As an experienced Colposcopist, she provides expert management for abnormal cervical smears, undertaking cervical screening, diagnostic colposcopic assessments, cervical biopsies, cold coagulation, and large-loop excision of the cervix (LLETZ). Her surgical range includes diagnostic laparoscopy, diagnostic hysteroscopy, and laparoscopic as well as open hysterectomies.
